Personal Data Security Conference Will be Webcast Online
The VI Personal Data Security International Conference will be held tomorrow, 10 November 2015, at the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel in Moscow (31A stroenie 1, Leningradsky prospect). The webcast address is: http://conf-rspectr.ru/translate.html. The registration for participating in the year’s main event on confidential information security will close today, on 9 November 2015.
Presentations will be made by representatives of legislative and executive government bodies, members of industry associations, data processing operators, manufacturers and designers of personal data security systems, specialists of human resources and legal support units of banks, telecom companies, health organizations, education institutions, and other stakeholders.
The opening address will be delivered by Mr. Alexander Zharov, Head of Roscomnadzor (RCN). Greetings will be delivered by representatives of the Office of the President, the State Duma and the Federal Council of the RF Federal Assembly, the RF Government, the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications, the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control, the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other government agencies.
Special attention will be given to international data processing and storage practices. Presentations will be made by officials of the supervisory authorities of the United Kingdom, China, Serbia, Kyrghyzstan, Azerbaijan, and other countries.
The conference will focus on application of Federal Law No. 242, which became effective on 1 September 2015 (it stipulates that Russian citizens’ personal data must be kept in Russian territory). Clarifications of the new law’s principal provisions will be provided by Ms. Antonina Priezzheva, Deputy Head of Roscomnadzor.
Representatives of Orange Business Services and IXcellerate will share their experience in transferring Russian citizens’ data to Russian territory. The topic will also be addressed by Ms. Ksenia Vasilenko, marketing specialist with IT-Park.
Besides, the conference will discuss children’s safety in the media scene. Mr. Andrei Vorobyov, Director of the Coordination Center of the National Internet Domain, will announce the Personal Data title winner of the Positive Content-2015 National Competition of Websites for Children, Teenagers, and Young People.
